Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair
Removal
Pressure Hose - Pump To Steering Gear Line
PRESSURE HOSE - PUMP TO STEERING GEAR LINE
1. Remove the washer bottle mounting screws and disconnect the electrical connectors to relocate the bottle out of the way.
2. Siphon as much power steering fluid as possible out of the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the pressure hose at the pump.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Remove the pressure hose routing brackets from the cradle.
6. Disconnect the pressure hose at the steering gear.
7. Remove the pressure hose from the vehicle.
Pressure Line - Gear To Pressure Hose
PRESSURE LINE - GEAR TO PRESSURE HOSE
1. Siphon as much power steering fluid as possible out of the reservoir.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the pressure hose at the pressure line.
4. Remove the pressure line at the gear 1 bolt.
5. Remove the pressure line from the vehicle
Return Hose - Cooler To Reservoir Hose
RETURN HOSE - COOLER TO RESERVOIR HOSE
1. Siphon as much power steering fluid as possible out of the reservoir.
2. Disconnect the return hose at the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the return hose at the cooler tube.
4. Remove the return hose from the vehicle.
Return Line - Gear To Cooler Tube
RETURN LINE - GEAR TO COOLER TUBE
1. Siphon as much power steering fluid as possible out of the reservoir.
2. Disconnect the return line from the gear to the cooler.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the return line at the gear and remove the 1 bolt.
5. Remove the return line from the vehicle.
Supply Hose
SUPPLY HOSE
1. Remove the washer bottle mounting screws and disconnect the electrical connectors to relocate the bottle out of the way.
2. Siphon as much power steering fluid as possible out of the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the supply hose at the pump.
4. Disconnect the supply hose at the reservoir.
5. Remove the supply hose from the vehicle.
