Rear Door Hinge - Removal

REMOVAL

WARNING: Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end
door or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the door to replace the hinges if they are replaced one at a time.

NOTE: A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.

1. Remove the bolts (1) on the door hinge from body.
2. Remove the bolts (4) on door hinge from door.
3. Support door with suitable lifting device.
4. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the hinge to aid installation.
5. Remove bolt (2) on door hinge from body.
6. Remove the bolt (3) on door hinge from door and remove the hinge.
