7. Pull door latch (3) with cables (13) and locking rod by turning clockwise in direction to center of door.
8. Unhook cable (12) from outer door handle.
9. Disconnect electrical connector from the latch assembly (3).
10. Remove the latch assembly (3) from the door.
Door Latch - Right Door Upper
NOTE: Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the upper door latch to aid installation.
1. Remove the bolts (1) and remove the upper latch (2).
2. Disconnect the cable (3) from upper door latch (2).
Left Door
INSTALLATION
Door Latch - Left Door Inner
CAUTION: Carefully guide cables when removing and installing to prevent damaging rattling protection.
1. Connect the upper door latch cable (12) and the lower door latch cable (13).
2. Position the rear end door inner latch (6) into the door with cables.
3. Connect the bottom door latch cable (13) and install the bottom door latch (8).
4. Connect the upper door latch cable (12) and install the upper door latch (2).
5. Position the inner door latch (6) into the door interior and install the bolts (9).
6. Tighten the bolts (9) to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.).
7. Install the top/bottom door trim (4, 5).
8. Install the inner latch handle (10).
9. Adjust rear door latches if necessary, See: Adjustments/Service Manual.
