Power Door Lock Actuator: Service and Repair
Removal

REMOVAL

FRONT DOOR LOCK MOTOR

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the door trim panel. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Service Manual/Front Door

Trim Panel - Removal.

3. Remove the RKE Antenna.
4. Remove the door module. See: Relays and Modules/Relays and Modules - Windows and Glass/Power Window Control Module/Service and

Repair/Removal.

5. Remove the speaker. See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Speaker/Service and Repair/Speaker - Removal.
6. Carefully remove the watershield from the door. .
7. Remove the lock cylinder. See: Door Locks/Door Lock Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal.
8. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove the door lock motor.

REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Rear Door Trim Panel -

Removal.

3. Remove the lock motor fasteners.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors and mechanical attachments.
5. Remove the door lock motor.
