Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Disc Brake Caliper Adapter - Installation

Front

FRONT

1. Install the brake caliper adapter (5) to the steering knuckle. Tighten the bolts (1) to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 40° turn.
2. Install the disc brake pads See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Brake Pads - Installation.

NOTE: Do not install the brake hose twisted and ensure freedom of movement.

3. Install the disc brake caliper (4). Tighten the guide pins (3) to 34 Nm (283 in. lbs.) for M8 bolt or 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.) for M10 boltSee: Disc Brake

4. Install the front wheels See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tires and Wheels - Installation.
5. Lower the vehicle.

Rear

REAR

1. Install the brake caliper adapter to the axle mount. Tighten the bolts (4) to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 40° turn.
2. Install the disc brake pads See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Brake Pads - Installation.

NOTE: Do not install the brake hose twisted and ensure freedom of movement.

3. Install the disc brake caliper (5). Tighten the guide pins (3) to 34 Nm (283 in. lbs.) for M8 bolt or 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.) for M10 boltSee: Disc Brake

4. Reconnect the pad sensor (7) to the cable.
5. Install the rear wheels See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tires and Wheels - Installation.
6. Lower the vehicle.
