Front Door Latch: Service and Repair

Removal
REMOVAL
1. Remove the water shield (2). Refer to Front Door Panel.
2. Carefully pry release lever (3) off of the lock cylinder (1).
3. Remove the bolts (7) and remove the latch (6).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (5).
5. Unhook the cable.
Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Hook up the cable.
2. Connect the electrical connector (5) and install the latch (6) into the door.
3. Install the bolts (7) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.).
4. Connect the lock cylinder release lever (2) to the lock cylinder (1).
5. Install the water shield (2).
