9. Install the new adjuster assembly into position (Figure 4).
10. Install the upper brake shoe retracting spring.
11. Install the disc brake rotor.
12. Install the wheel flange ring and six bolts. Tighten the bolts to 148 ft. lbs. (200 N.m).
13. Adjust the rear park brake shoes using the following procedure:
a. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise until it is no longer possible to rotate the rear disc brake rotor.
b. Loosen the adjusting until there is a slight amount of park brake drag when rotating the rear disc brake rotor.
14. Install the brake caliper and brake caliper adapter as an assembly (Figure 1). Tighten the brake caliper adapter bolts to 125 ft. lbs. (170 N.m).
15. Repeat Steps 3 through 14 on the other rear wheel park brake.
16. Install the rear wheels. Tighten the lug nuts to 133 ft. lbs. (180 N.m).
17. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
18. Pump the brake pedal several times to seat the disc brake pads against the rotors.
WARNING:
Failure to pump the brake pedal before moving the vehicle could cause delayed brake engagement and/or a low brake pedal during the first brake
application.
19. Verify proper park brake operation.
