DESCRIPTION
The engine oil pressure sensor is mounted on the front of the oil filter housing. The sensor provides an output voltage to the ECM that corresponds to the
engine oil pressure. Under certain operating conditions, for example low oil pressure, it may be necessary for the ECM to increase the engine idle speed
to ensue adequate engine lubrication.
The engine oil pressure sensor is a three wire sensor with a threaded pressure port. The pressure port is mounted to the oil filter housing through an
access hole. An aluminium seal ring seals the engine oil pressure sensor to the oil filter housing.
