Diesel Particle Filter (DPF): Service and Repair
Installation

INSTALLATION

1.   Position DPF into muffler and mounting isolators.
2.   Install band clamp. Do not tighten at this time.
3.   Install muffler into rear isolators.
4.   Install band clamp. Do not tighten at this time.
5.   Align the exhaust system, and tighten muffler to diesel particulate filter clamp nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
6.   Tighten DPR to catalytic converter clamp bolt to 20 Nm (14 ft.lbs.)
7.   Install and connect DPF temp sensor. Tighten to 30 Nm (22ft.lbs.).
8.   Install pressure differential tubing to DPF. Tighten fittings to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
9.   Install cushion clamp at isolator bracket. Tighten bolt to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.)

10.   Lower the vehicle.
11.   Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
