NOTE:
This notification applies only to the above vehicles equipped with an electric roof ventilator fan (sales code NHX).
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery.
Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.
Subject
The electric roof ventilator fan on about 180 of the above vehicles may cause the automatic transmission electronic control system to malfunction. This
can result in the transmission shifting into the "limp home" (default) mode.
Repair
A relay must be added to the electric roof fan circuit to isolate it electrically from the automatic transmissions electronic control system.
