Cut the black wire coming out of the 8th cavity from the left approximately three inches (75 mm) from the fuse block (Figure 15).

Place a piece of shrink tube over the harness side of the black wire cut in Step 38. Heat the shrink tube so that the end of the wire is sealed. Tape
the wire back into the vehicle wiring harness (it will no longer be used).

Route the black (with yellow trace) wire from the new relay wiring harness along the fuse block wiring harness and through the seat base opening.

Cut off and discard the electrical terminal located on the end of the black (with yellow trace) wire from the new relay wiring harness (Figure 16).

Remove approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of insulation from both the black wire on the fuse block (cavity 8) and the end of the black (with yellow
trace) wire.
43.
Slide a piece of shrink tube over the black (with yellow trace) wire.
