Drive Belt: Service and Repair
Belt-Fan Drive

Removal

REMOVAL

1.   Remove radiator fan.
2.   While using a suitable tool, rotate crankshaft pulley clockwise.
3.   While rotating the crankshaft, walk fan drive belt (2) off crankshaft pulley (3).

Installation

INSTALLATION

1.   Position fan drive belt on water pump pulley.
2.   Position fan drive belt on crankshaft pulley.

NOTE: Use only wire ties with nylon locks, not metal.

3.   Working from the back side of the crankshaft pulley, insert a nylon wire tie, 196.8mm X 3.175mm X 12.7mm ( 7.75 in. X 0.125 in. x.50 in),

through one of the holes in the pulley.

4.   Use a nylon wire tie to hold fan drive belt in place.
5.   Tighten the wire tie to hold the drive belt in position.
6.   Using a suitable tool, rotate crankshaft pulley clockwise
7.   Make sure fan drive belt is fully seated.
8.   Install radiator fan.
