Sprinter 3500 V6-3.0L DSL Turbo VIN 45 (2007)
1. Position the front seat belt and retractor (1) into the lower inner B-pillar as a unit. Be certain to engage the tab on the retractor bracket into the
locating slot in the inner B-pillar.
2. Install and tighten the screw (3) that secures the retractor to the lower inner B-pillar. Tighten the screw to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
3. Reconnect the vehicle wire harness (2) connector for the seat belt tensioner to the initiator receptacle of the retractor located within the lower
B-pillar. Be certain that the latch on the connector and the orange Connector Position Assurance (CPA) lock are each fully engaged.
4. Position the front outboard seat belt turning loop (2) to the height adjuster (1) on the upper inner B-pillar. Be certain that the seat belt webbing
between the retractor and the turning loop is not twisted.
5. Install and tighten the screw (3) that secures the turning loop to the height adjuster. Tighten the screw to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
6. Reinstall the trim onto the inside of the B-pillar.
7. Position the front outboard seat belt lower anchor (3) to the outboard side of the seat (1) frame. Be certain that the seat belt webbing between the
turning loop and the seat frame is not twisted. On the driver side and on vehicles equipped with a passenger side bucket seat, pull the outboard side
shield away from the seat cushion far enough to engage the lower anchor to the seat frame.
8. Install and tighten the screw (2) that secures the lower anchor to the outboard side of the seat frame. Tighten the screw to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
9. On the driver side and on vehicles equipped with a passenger side bucket seat, reinstall the plastic cover over the screw that secures the lower
anchor to the seat frame.
10. Do not reconnect the battery negative cable at this time. The supplemental restraint system verification test procedure should be performed
following service of any supplemental restraint system component.
