Service Procedure
1.
Inspect the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir to insure that the fluid level is correct and the cap is securely installed.
2.
Remove the brake lamp fuse from the fuse block below the instrument panel (Fuse # 17) to prevent discharging the battery.
3.
Install a brake pedal fixture to keep the master cylinder in the applied position, such as a prop rod from the brake pedal to the driver seat. Apply
minimal pedal effort to avoid high pressure.
NOTE:
Only the front brakes will require bleeding if the master cylinder remains applied.
4.
Raise the vehicle to a working level on an appropriate hoist.
5.
Remove both front wheel and tire assemblies.
6.
Clean any loose debris from the area around both left front brake hose connections using shop air.
CAUTION:
Wear safety goggles.
