The variable induction control servo is a computer controlled, solenoid operated, vacuum shut-off valve located on the firewall. Two air intake paths are
provided in the intake manifold to allow the selection of the intake path most favorable for a given engine speed.
Satisfactory power performance is achieved by computer controlled positioning of the variable induction control valve. High torque at low rpm is
achieved when the valve is closed (creating a longer intake path). Higher power at high rpm (above 5,000 rpm) is achieved by opening the induction
control valve (creating a shorter intake path).
