Air Bag: Testing and Inspection

NOTE:  Prior to working on or around the airbag module, always disarm the airbag system as outlined under, MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/
AIRBAG ARMING AND DISARMING.

1.

Remove airbag module as outlined under "Component Replacement and Repair/Airbag Module."

2.

Never attempt to measure the circuit resistance of the airbag module even with a specified tester.

3.

Check airbag pad cover for dents cracks or deformities.

4.

Check airbag module for denting, cracking or deformities.

5.

Check hooks and connectors for damage, terminals for deformities and harness for binds.
