Trailing Arm: Service and Repair

1. Remove trailing arm as shown, noting the following:
a. Using tool No. MB990635 or equivalent, disconnect upper arm, lower arm and assist link from knuckle assembly. Suspend tool with suitable
rope to prevent dropping.
b. Loosen ball joint attaching nut, do not remove.
2. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Hold stabilizer link ball studs with suitable wrench, tighten self-locking nut so protrusion of stabilizer link is within 0.197 to 0.276 inch.
