Differential Carrier Replacement

1. Remove driveshafts, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Service and Repair.
2. Position a suitable jack under rear axle assembly, then drain differential gear oil.
3. Scribe mating marks on differential companion flange and flange yoke for assembly reference.
4. Remove differential to propeller shaft connection, then support propeller shaft with wire.
5. Remove differential lower and rear support members.
6. Remove rear wheel oil pump retaining bolt.
7. Remove and support rear wheel oil pump then lower differential carrier from vehicle. 

CAUTION:  Use care not to damage rear wheel oil pump gears.

8. Reverse procedure to install.
