Cruise Control Switch: Testing and Inspection
1. Remove main switch and garnish from console.
2. Remove switch from garnish.

3. Operate main switch and check for continuity across terminals as shown.
4. Connect a positive lead from battery to terminal No. 3 and a negative lead to terminal No. 5. Check that battery voltage is available between
terminals Nos. 4 and 5 when the switch is turned On and when the switch is turned Off.
5. Check that when turned to Off position thereafter, the battery voltage across terminals Nos. 4 and 5 is reduced to 0 volts.
SYMPTOM: Speed control will not remain On when the main On/Off switch is depressed.
This condition may be caused be improper wiring connection at the main switch. The wiring harness is too short and partially pulls the wiring off the
back of the speed control switch. Replacement of the main switch will not correct this condition. Use the following procedure to correct this condition.
1. Remove main switch and garnish.
2. Carefully pull on main speed control switch wiring harness to gain an additional 1/16-1/8 inch of wiring.
3. Install main speed control switch and garnish.
