3. Mount dial indicator as shown, then measure drive gear runout at the shoulder on the reverse side of drive gear. Runout should not exceed 0.002
inch.

4. On models except Stealth, lock side gear with a wedge as shown, then measure differential gear backlash with dial indicator on pinion gear.
Differential gear backlash should not exceed 0.008 inch.
5. On all models, check final drive gear tooth contact as follows:
