Fuel Level Sending Unit Voltage Too High

Fuel Level Sending Unit Volts Too High

WHEN MONITORED:

Ignition ON.

SET CONDITION:

The fuel level sending unit voltage goes above a value calculated by the PCM.

THEORY OF OPERATION:

The fuel level sending unit sends a variable voltage signal to the body control module to indicate fuel level. The body control module sends this
information over the bus to the PCM to indicate fuel level. 

The purpose of this feature is to prevent false setting of misfire and fuel systems monitor codes when the vehicle is operating a low fuel levels.
