Stratus L4-2.4L DOHC (1995)
Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
1. Remove shock absorber as outlined under "Shock Absorber,Replace".

2. Position shock assembly in a vise clamping by clevis bracket at bottom of shock.
3. Mark coil spring and strut assembly right or left as needed.
4. Using coil spring compressor tool No. GP-2020-S2.5, or equivalent, compress coil spring.
5. Using a suitable tool, keep shock shaft rod from turning and remove shock shaft nut.
6. Remove washer, shock mounting bracket, washer on top of dust shield, then the dust shield.
7. Remove coil spring and spring compressor as an assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten mounting nuts to specifications.
