Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear

1. Roll back carpeting on top of rear shock tower to access shock mounting bolts, then remove shock tower cover.
2. Remove two attaching nuts.
3. Raise and support vehicle.

4. Remove rear wheel and tire assembly, then the bolt attaching clevis bracket on shock to knuckle.
5. Remove shock absorber clevis bracket from knuckle by pushing down on suspension.
6. Move shock absorber downward and tilt top of shock outward.
7. Remove shock from vehicle through top of wheelwell opening.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
