Right hand door, proceed to step 4. Left hand door, proceed to step 5.
4.
Right hand door:
a.
Slide the lower nut rearward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
b.
Slide the upper nut forward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
c.
Proceed to step 6.
5.
Left hand door:
a.
Slide the upper nut forward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
b.
Slide the lower nut rearward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
c.
Proceed to step 6.
6.
Lower the glass completely in the affected door. Raise the glass and listen for a rub/screech/squeak sound.
7.
If the sound is no longer present, proceed to step 14. If sound is present, proceed to next step.
8.
Remove the sash.
9.
Inspect the lower part of the sash for a tang that is contacting the glass. Fold the tang inward, clamping onto the vinyl.
10.
Install the sash and loosely install the upper and lower nuts (Fig. 1)
11.
Right hand door, proceed to step 12. Left hand door, proceed to step 13.
12.
Right hand door:
a.
Slide the lower nut rearward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
b.
Slide the upper nut forward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
c.
Proceed to step 14.
13.
Left hand door:
a.
Slide the upper nut forward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
b.
Slide the lower nut rearward and tighten to 10 - 15 Nm (88 - 133 in. lbs.).
c.
Proceed to step 14.
14.
Install the trim panel.
