NOTE:

This recall applies only to certain vehicles built from November 8, 2000 through November 9, 2000 (MDH 110800 through 110911).

IMPORTANT:

Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer new vehicle inventory. Federal law requires you to stop sale and complete this recall service on these
vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also consider this requirement to apply to used vehicle inventory and should perform this recall on
vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the DIAL VIP System.

Subject

Incorrect bolts may have been installed to secure the rear of the driver's seat assembly to the floor pan on 20 of the above vehicles. In the event of an
accident, the bolts may not properly secure the seat and could cause increased injury to the driver of the vehicle.

Repair

The two rear driver's seat-to-floor pan anchor bolts must be replaced.

Parts Information 

Each dealer to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address) will receive enough Seat Anchor Bolts to
service 100% of those vehicles.

Service procedure

1.

Move the driver's seat to the full forward position.

2.

Remove the two (2) rear driver's seat anchor bolt covers (Figure 1).

3.

Remove and discard the two (2) rear driver's seat anchor bolts (Figure 1).

4.

Install the two provided anchor bolts. Tighten the bolts to 33 ft-lbs (44 Nm).
