Remove the caliper to support bolts and separate the brake caliper (Fig. 1), carefully setting or hanging it aside, being careful to not stretch or twist
the brake hose.

2.

Remove the caliper support from the front knuckle assembly and replace with the new part. Tighten the caliper support mounting bolts to 100 +/-
Nm (74 +/- ft. lbs.).

3.

Reattach the caliper to the caliper support.

NOTE:

DURING ASSEMBLY OF THE NEW CALIPER SUPPORT, MAKE SURE TO APPLY BRAKE GREASE TO THE GUIDE AND LOCK PINS
(CALIPER PINS) AND THE CALIPER SUPPORT. MAKE SURE THE PIN BOOTS ARE ATTACHED SECURELY IN THE PROPER PLACE.

4.

Repeat steps 1 through 3 on the other side of the vehicle.

5.

Reassemble the vehicle and verify proper brake operation and elimination of the sound by duplicating the method used to identify the problem.
