Flash: MIL Illumination - Misfire Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), making a coordinated spark plug change and
providing the owner with information about the spark plug change for their owners manual.

NOTE:
This information applies to vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine (sales code EF7).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate due to one or more of the following DTC's: The DTC(s) may be intermittent and associated with
a cold start.

P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected

P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected

P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected

DIAGNOSIS:
Using the DRBIII(R) and CH8425 PCMCIA Diagnostic Card check for DTC's. If other DTC's are present, record them on the repair order and repair as
necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If the condition or DTC's listed above are present or can be duplicated, perform the Repair
Procedure.
