SUBJECT:
Driver's Window Auto-Down Function Is Intermittent
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a revised power window motor.
MODELS:
2003 - 2004

Sebring Sedan/Stratus Sedan
NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT ON OCT. 01, 2002 (MDH 1001XX) THROUGH AND INCLUDING MAR. 06, 2003 (MDH
0306XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Driver's window auto-down function does not work every time.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE:
REPLACING THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH WILL NOT CORRECT THIS SYMPTOM/CONDITION.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2.
Using the procedures outlined on page 23-39 of the 2003 Sebring Sedan/Convertible & Stratus Sedan Service Manual Supplement (Publication
No. 81-270-02025A) or the service information on TechCONNECT/MDS2, remove the drivers door trim panel.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE DIRTY HANDS OR LINT TYPE GLOVES WHEN REMOVING THE WATERSHIELD, ADHESIVE BEAD WILL BE RUINED.
BE SURE TO KEEP THE WATERSHIELD ADHESIVE CONTAMINATE FREE.
3.
Partially remove the watershield as necessary.
4.
Using the procedures outlined on page 23-40 of the 2003 Sebring Sedan/Convertible & Stratus Sedan Service Manual Supplement (Publication
No. 81-270-02025A) or the service information on TechCONNECT/MDS2, remove the drivers door window regulator.
5.
Remove the fasteners attaching the motor to the drivers door window regulator.
6.
Separate the motor from the regulator.
7.
Install revised motor, p/n 05056029AF, on the drivers door window regulator by positioning motor gearbox so that it engages regulator sector
