Engine Mount: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Raise hood, Check clearance between water pump pulley and other accessory drives to radiator top tank and hose.

CAUTION:  DO NOT lift the engine by the intake manifold.

2. Install engine lifting fixture to exhaust manifolds.
3. Raise vehicle on hoist.
4. Loosen bolts holding isolator bracket to the engine.
5. Remove the nut from the isolator to frame.
6. Raise engine with lifting fixture only far enough to remove isolator and brackets.

INSTALLATION 

1. If the engine bracket was removed, install the engine bracket to the isolator. Tighten the bolts to 101 Nm (75 ft. lbs.).
2. With engine raised SLIGHTLY, position isolator bracket onto the engine and install bolts tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower engine with lifting fixture while guiding isolator studs into crossmember brackets.
4. Install isolator to bracket nut. Tighten the nut to 101 Nm (75 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove lifting fixture.
