Seat Belt: Service and Repair

Lap/Shoulder Belt

LAP/SHOULDER BELT REMOVAL

1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Remove shoulder belt turning loop trim cover.
3. Remove bolt holding turning loop to door stanchion.
4. Remove interlock plate from bottom of door.
5. Remove bolts holding seat belt reinforcement to door end frame.
6. Remove bolts holding seat belt reinforcement to inner door panel.
7. Separate reinforcement from door.
8. Remove bolts holding retractors to reinforcement.
9. Separate retractors from reinforcement.

10. Reverse the preceding operation for installation.

Seat Belt Buckle

BUCKLE REMOVAL

1. Move seat to forward position.
2. Pull top of seat belt buckle anchor cover out and down to expose bolt.
3. Remove bolt holding seat belt buckle to tunnel side panel.
4. Disengage wire connector from seat beat buckle.
5. Separate buckle from vehicle.
6. Reverse the preceding operation for installation.
