Trunk / Liftgate Striker: Service and Repair

LATCH STRIKER

REMOVAL

1. Open the decklid.
2. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the striker to aid installation.

3. Remove the two bolts and remove the striker. (Fig. 8)

INSTALLATION

1. Position striker to vehicle.
2. Install bolts attaching decklid latch striker to trunk tail panel and tighten to 12 N.m (9 ft.lbs.).
3. Verify decklid operation and alignment and adjust if necessary. Refer to Body and Frame / Specifications / Dimensions.
