Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose: Service and Repair
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct-Roadster
The air cleaner inlet duct routes ambient to the air cleaner. The two piece duct has an upper and lower section. Quarter-turn fasteners attach the
upper section to the lower one. The front edge of the upper duct fits into tabs on the lower duct.
REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the push pins holding the upper section of the inlet duct in place.
3. Screws attach the lower section of the inlet duct to the frame rails. Access the screws through the opening for the upper section.
4. Remove the screws that attach the inlet duct to the frame rails.
5. Disconnect the left hood release cable from the latch. Pull up on duct and slide cable through the inlet duct.
6. Disconnect the right hood release cable from the latch. Pull up on duct and slide cable through the inlet duct.
7. Remove the fasteners attaching the inlet duct to the radiator top support. Remove inlet duct.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the lower section of the inlet duct in place.
2. Pull hood release cables through openings in duct.
3. Install lower inlet duct to frame rail screws.
4. Install the top section of the inlet duct on the lower section. Install the push pin fasteners.
5. Install air cleaner.
6. Connect hood release cables to latches.
