Remove the fuel filler neck mounting screws (Figure 18).

Reach through the access panel opening and disconnect the filler tube from the fuel tank (Figure 19).
9.
Remove the rollover valve vent tube.
10.
Reach through the access panel opening and remove the two fuel tank attaching bolts.
11.
Slide the fuel tank rearward and disconnect the fuel line from the pressure regulator.
WARNING:
To absorb any fuel still in the fuel lines, wrap a shop towel around the end of the fuel supply and vapor tubes.
12.
Disconnect the fuel pump module electrical connector.
13.
Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle and set the tank aside.
WARNING:
Store the fuel tank a safe distance away from the vehicle during the welding process.
