Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Rotor Removal and Installation
Front
REMOVE
1. Raise vehicle on jackstands or centered on a hoist.
2. Remove the tire and wheel from the vehicle.
3. Remove the attaching bolt for the front hub/bearing unit used to mount the brake flex hose bracket to the steering knuckle.
4. Remove the 2 bolts attaching the brake caliper to the steering knuckle. Remove the brake caliper from the steering knuckle.
5. Support the front disc brake caliper by hanging it from the upper control arm using mechanics wire. Do not let caliper assembly hang by brake
hose.
6. Remove the front rotor from the hub/bearing.
