THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO OCTOBER 1, 1997 (MDH 10-01-XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Oil seepage in the rear area of the oil pan near the supporting ribs due to a hairline crack.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect the oil pan for signs of cracks or oil seepage. If found, perform the Repair Procedure. If no cracks or seepage are found, no further action is
required.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves the replacement of the oil pan and gasket.

Remove and replace the oil pan following the procedure in the 1997 Viper Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-7150), page 9-30.
