A/C Suction Hose/Line Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine.
2. Remove suction line bolt and line from A/C compressor.

3. Remove suction line bolt and line from evaporator.
4. Raise vehicle on a hoist.
5. Remove the two suction line strap attaching screws.
CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap the expansion valve tubes.
6. Remove suction line from vehicle raise or lower vehicle as necessary
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.

Tighten Suction Line bolt at the Compressor to 20 to 30 Nm (15 to 22 ft. lbs.) torque.

Tighten the Suction Line at the Evaporator to 30 to 35 Nm (22 to 26 ft. lbs.) torque.
