Body Control Module - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Open deck lid.
2. Remove four bolts to battery compartment cover and remove cover.
3. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
WARNING: Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this
may result in serious or fatal injury.
4. Disconnect the five Body Control Module (BCM) electrical connectors (3).
5. Remove the four retaining nuts (1) to the BCM (2).
6. Remove the BCM (2) from the vehicle.
Body Control Module - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Install the BCM (2) in the vehicle.
2. Install the four retaining nuts (1) to the BCM (2).
3. Connect the five BCM electrical connectors (3).
WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection. Serious or fatal
injury may result if the system test is not performed first.
4. Install battery compartment cover and install four retaining bolts.
5. Close deck lid.
