Front Door Exterior Handle - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Open the door and remove the rubber grommet at the outside handle access hole (1).

2. Using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, release the handle cover (2) from inside the access hole and remove the handle cover.

3. Remove the two bolts (2).
4. Depress the lever on the handle assembly (3) and back out the shipping screw (1) to secure the lever in the depressed position.
5. Remove the door trim panel. See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Front Door Trim Panel - Removal
6. Disconnect the electrical connector (4).
7. Remove the handle assembly from the door.
