Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
Booster-Power Brake
INSTALLATION
NOTE: When installing power brake booster, install a NEW gasket (1) on rear of booster.
1. Align mounting studs (2) on back of power brake booster with holes in dash panel and install booster firmly against dash panel (1).
2. Install and tighten four nuts mounting power brake booster and pedals assembly (3) to dash panel. Tighten nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
3. Using lubriplate, or equivalent, coat contact surface of brake pedal pin (2).
4. Slide power brake booster input rod (3) onto brake pedal pin (2) and install a NEW retainer clip (1). Use only a new retainer clip. DO NOT
USE OLD CLIP.
