Fuel Filler Neck: Service and Repair
Removal

REMOVAL

1. Remove fuel filler tube cap.
2. Remove screws (1) from body and fuel filler neck (2).
3. Remove screws (5) from fuel filler neck (2) and fuel filler tube (4).
4. Remove inner splash shields, See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear Fender Liner/Service and Repair/Rear Wheelhouse Splash Shield -

Removal.

5. Remove ground strap (2) from fuel filler tube (1).
6. Remove nut (4) and ground strap (2) from frame stud (3).
7. Loosen clamp and remove the rubber vapor recirculation line at the fuel filler tube.
8. Loosen clamp at tank and remove the fuel filler tube from fuel tank.
