Passenger Airbag - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Open deck lid.
2. Remove four bolts to battery compartment cover and remove cover.
3. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

WARNING: Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this
may result in serious or fatal injury.

4. Remove the instrument panel assembly See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Instrument Panel - Removal.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector to the PAB.
6. Remove four screws retaining the passenger airbag to dash pad and the two bolts to the reinforcement and remove from instrument panel.
