Arm/Disarm Switch: Description and Operation
Description

DESCRIPTION

In case of Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) failure, the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) Disarm Switch can be used to disarm the VTSS. The VTSS
disarm switch is a key cylinder mounted, momentary contact switch. This key cylinder is keyed the same as the ignition key. This switch can only be
used to disarm the VTSS, not to arm the system. When the RKE or the electric door lock switch is locked, the system will then rearm itself.

The VTSS Disarm Switch is located on the drivers door below the outside mirror. The VTSS Disarm Switch is hardwired into the wire harness and is not
serviced separately.
