CAUTION: When releasing outer tie rod (1) from knuckle (3) using Puller (2), Special Tool C-4150A, use care not to pinch and damage tie rod
grease seal.

8. Release outer tie rod (1) from knuckle (3) using Puller (2), Special Tool C-4150A.

9. Remove hub and bearing mounting bolts (3).

10. Remove hub and bearing assembly (2) from knuckle (1).
11. Using an appropriate tool, remove tone wheel seal from knuckle.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Attach Installer (2), Special Tool 6573, to end of Drive Handle (3), Special Tool C-4171.
2. Place NEW seal on end of Installer, Special Tool 6573.
3. From inboard side, align seal with seal bore in knuckle. Slowly tap tool with hammer, driving seal into place. Stop when tool bottoms against

knuckle.
