Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position power steering pump (2) on engine.
2. Install three power steering pump mounting bolts (1). Tighten mounting bolts to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).

3. Install supply hose (2) on fitting of power steering pump (1). Install hose clamp on return hose past upset bead on pump fitting.

4. Install power steering pressure hose (2) in power steering pump (1) pressure fitting. Tighten pressure hose tube nut to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
5. Install accessory drive belt. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and

6. Install air cleaner.   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing
7. Connect the battery negative (-) cable to battery negative battery terminal.
8. Fill and bleed power steering system. See: Power Steering Bleeding/Service and Repair
9. Check for leaks.
