Propeller Shaft - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Slide front yoke into transmission and align yoke reference marks.
2. Install new universal joint straps (1) and bolts. Then tighten bolts to 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.).
CAUTION: Replace drive shaft joint straps (1) whenever they are removed. The straps slightly deform when torqued in place. Reuse of
the straps may result in reduced clamp load on the universal joint cap. Drive shaft strap bolts must be replaced or cleaned and Mopar
Lock & Seal Adhesive or equivalent applied.
3. Install belly pan and tighten bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
4. Install exhaust heat shield to the belly pan.
