4. Position the outer shoe and lining on the caliper.

No free play should exist between shoe retaining flanges and machined surfaces on caliper outboard arms (which might cause shoe rattle).

If the shoe cannot be pressed into place by hand, a C-Clamp may be used.

If a C-Clamp is used, protect shoe with wooden block as shown.

5. Position the caliper over the brake disc and guide the upper caliper groove into the upper mating adaptor groove.
CAUTION: Be careful not to pull the dust boot from its groove as the piston and boot slide down over the inboard shoe.
6. Position the caliper to the lower adaptor sliding surface.
CAUTION: Make sure the brake hose is not twisted.
