SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Vehicle exhibits or blows white smoke on cold start-up. This condition is most noticeable in ambient's above 60~ F., when the engine is first started
(cold).
DIAGNOSIS:
This bulletin does not apply to vehicles built with engine serial number 44623028 or later. They already have the modification.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves replacing the Air Temperature Sensor with a revised one.
1.
Remove the Air Temperature Sensor from the intake manifold.
2.
Install the new switch PN 4713521, and torque to 20 ft.lbs. (27 N-m).

Type the required information on the Authorized Modification Label, PN 4275086, as shown in Figure 1, and attach near the Emisions plate.
