Power Steering Bleeding: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Ensure reservoir is at correct level.
3.
Raise front wheels off the ground.
4.
Crank engine while turning wheel to left and right. Repeat several times.
5.
Lower front wheels to the ground.
6.
Connect battery cable.
7.
Connect a tube from breather plug of gearbox, then place other end into suitable container.
8.
Start engine and let idle.
9.
Loosen breather plug, then turn steering wheel completely to the left and right continuously until air bubbles no longer appear in fluid coming out
of tube. Do not hold wheel to extreme left or right for longer than 10 seconds.
10.
Tighten breather plug, then check fluid level.
