Incorrect Breakover Spring Position

If the throttle lever does not contact the low idle speed stop screw and the breakover spring is not against the stop, the throttle actuation rod must
be adjusted.
Throttle Actuation Rod

One of the heim joint lock nuts on the throttle actuation rod has left-handed threads. There is an "L" stamped into the flat of the rod to indicate
which lock nut is the left-handed lock nut.

Loosen the lock nuts while holding the flat portion of the throttle actuation rod.
Correct Breakover Spring Position

The throttle actuation rod can be rotated to increase or decrease the adjustment. Rotate the throttle actuation rod until the throttle lever contacts
the low idle speed stop screw, and the spring-loaded breakover lever comes off the stop and is against the breakover spring.
9.
Tighten the throttle actuation rod heim joint locking nuts.
10.
Remove the feeler gauge.
11.
Snap the throttle cable over the ball stud on the throttle cam.
