Installing Pump Push Rods
10. Lube vacuum pump push rods with engine oil and install in housing.
Vacuum Pump O-Ring Installation
11. Lube vacuum pump O-rings with engine oil and place rings on pumps.
Vacuum Pump Installation
12. Install vacuum pumps on housing one at a time as follows:
a. Position first pump on housing. Ensure that pump is aligned with reference marks made during disassembly.
b. Rotate drive gear until push rod is on low side of eccentric. Then seat pump on housing and install attaching nut and/or bolts.
c. Tighten to 7 ft lb (9 Nm).
d. Rotate drive gear until other push rod is on low side of eccentric. Install other pump as previously described.
